After breakfast at 7:00 am you will depart with your packed lunch boxes from Masailand Safari Lodge or Arusha town and driven to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.The drive time will take approximately4-5 hours to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, an estimated 153 Kilometers. You will then enjoyyour game drive and the Crater. Ngorongoro Conservation Area is named one of the Eight Natural Wonders of the World “Heritage Site” due to the amusing of the Crater.Ngorongoro Crater isthe largest intact Crater in the world.About 2 million years ago the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed. The volcano floorsank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m tall walls.At over 19 kilometers wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of Acacia forest, Hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals – including Elephants, Warthogs, Flamingos, magnificent Bird-life, the rare black Rhinoceros and allthe predatory cats.
